In case you were wondering whether I ever have any original ideas, I’m pretty sure the answer is no. But I love to copy other people’s great ideas! My latest is this $2 wreath:
Want to make one? You’ll need coffee filters (on sale at Target this week — 200 white or brown coffee filters for 99 cents), a wreath form (mine is an 18″ one from Dollar Tree), and a glue gun.
Take a coffee filter, fold it in half and then in half again. Twist the folded corner into a point and then fluff out the layers so it looks something like this:
I used about 100 filters on my 18″ wreath. Twist ’em up and just start gluing them on. I found it worked best to lay down about an inch or two of glue, fill it up with filters, then do another stripe of glue. I did it in front of the tv last night and didn’t pay attention to how long it took – maybe an hour or an hour and a half? Easy and fun! I’m loving the brown for November but I think I’ll do a white one to take me through January and February.
